Don Freeman is the author of a wordless novel, Skitzy, as well as two nearly wordless novels, It Shouldn’t Happen and Great Shakes, published posthumously.

Don Freeman (August 11, 1908 – February 1, 1978) was an American painter, print-maker, cartoonist, and an illustrator and writer of children’s books. He was active from the 1930s to the 1970s and often used Times Square as the backdrop for his works.

His published wordless novel is: Skitzy 1955 -click HERE

He also has two nearly wordless novels that I have listed under the Anomalies tab:

Thanks go to Don Freeman’s son, Roy Freeman, who was generous in his comments and insights.
