Szuts’ original drawings, presumably done in the 1920s, were reproduced in his wordless novel, My War, first published in 1931. The drawings were auctioned off in 2013 to a private collector.

Some of these drawings were first seen in a solo exhibition at Grieves Gallery in 1929 in London.

Lot 316; The gist of the auction listing is as follows:

Two volumes of the original pen, ink, and wash drawings (219 in total).

Volume I. Front page inscribed ‘My War Book – Third baby Edition’ (second is crossed out), signed Szegedi Szuts and further signed Sugady Szuts, with 116 ink drawings, each numbered and most titled, each drawing on a sketch paper, 19 x 14cm, each page and the bound volume 28 x 21cm.

Volume II. 103 ink drawings, as above, most being titled,

There are a few original drawings not published (approximately 10), and some of the original titles have been changed in the printed book.

Drawing pasted on to a support page with title, Morning Tea, in pencil
on the support page. This was used for the 1st image in
the book. A different title was used in the final publication.
In the published book this image was
retitled, The Little Hussar wakes up.
Original drawing titled, Hatred, was retitled, Who are ….
